Tips for mannaging stress

With everything going on in our lives squad members it is easy to get overwhelmed by work, chores or just stress in general. That’s why it’s important to find ways to identify and manage the things causing stress so they can be dealt with.

  • Stop over-scheduling

One of the main sources of stress in our lives is how much we put on our shoulders, Monday to Friday you are expected to excel at school, do after school activities and for some of us do chores as well. Don’t forget to leave some time aside for rest and not overload your schedule.

  • Make time for play

Like we mentioned in the previous point it is important to find time to take a break from work and enjoy yourself, to play. So even with other things going on in your life try and find a time to check in with friends and family and have fun together.

  • Make sleep a priority

One of the easiest ways to avoid stress is just to get enough sleep at night. It’s super important for you to get your 9 hours sleep so you can wake up alert and refreshed. Lack of sleep can cause a reduction in memory, reflexes and motivation.

  • Listen to your body

Last but not least squad members it is important to pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you. If your leg hurts then maybe take it easy on the sports field, if you start feeling sick then maybe bundle up and take some vitamins. Your body knows how it should be working so listen to it if it sounds like something is wrong instead of pushing through.
