Tuna Pasta Recipe

It’s Marine month and we are making a super simple but delicious tuna pasta dish to celebrate. Before we get to cooking it’s important to know and understand our star ingredient. Canned tuna is usually Skipjack tuna which means it’s caught using a pole and line. This method is highly selective with low bycatch rates and no negative impact on the environment. Let’s remember to always keep our space clean by wiping our equipment to keep us safe from Covid-19. I’m also wearing my visor while working with Chef Bee

You’ll need:

● 2 tablespoons olive oil
● 2 large cloves garlic minced
● 1 can tuna, drained I prefer tuna packed in oil
● 1 teaspoon lemon juice
● 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
● Salt & pepper
● uncooked pasta

Alright squad members here is the list of equipment you will need for today’s pasta dish.

● Pan
● Tablespoon
● Mixing spoon
● Strainer
● Chopping boardIt’

First, get the pasta cooking by boiling some salted water with a teaspoon of oil; the oil will keep the pasta from sticking together. Let the pasta cook for 10 minutes.

It’s very important to constantly wash your hands when handling food squad members, so don’t forget to wash your hands or sanitize them.

Step 1: Add 2 tablespoons of oil in the pan. Remember to be careful when dealing with a hot stove.

Step 2: Add some garlic to your oiled pan and cook for 30 seconds. When the oil is nice and warm, it’s time to add in our garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Add parsley, tuna and lemon juice to the pan. Let that heat through

Step 4: Add your pasta in the sauce

Step 5: Mix everything well together.

Step 6: Add some salt and pepper and some lemon juice if you wish.

And we’re almost finished ; but now it’s time for us to make our side dish to finish up the final touches.
